Heading home to Issaquah June 27, 2012

With our catfish on ice in the cooler we headed for home.  Mt. Adams looked even bigger on the way out of town.
This was one of the many crops of hops growing up their strings.
I don't know if this was the original fruit stand that sits across the street from the huge one we visited, but it's old and features Aplets and Cotlets on the sign.  I thought it was a cool looking old building.

More windmills!

By the time we got to Snoqualmie pass this is how the sun was looking through the clouds.  It looked like a strange rainbow.

The clouds were really interesting that night as well!

One more view!

Unfortunately the pass was doing rock blasting for rockslide control from 8-9PM; they did a lot this past winter as well for avalanche control, so we got the pleasure of waiting for an hour .
While we were setting in the car I happened to notice this pine tree out my window, and all the Woodpecker holes that had been made in it!!!
Our little 4 year old granddaughter Taylor talks about Woody Woodpecker but has a bit of a time saying his entire name.  She does fine when you have her break it down into  Woody...Wood...Pecker...but when you have her say it all together...it comes out...and with enthusiasm...Woodypecker!!!  Her mommy had the same difficulty with magazine...break it down to maga...zine...she would repeat perfectly...then have her say the word in whole and with tons of gusto she would shout...MAZAGINE!!!! lol  So naturally I had to take this picture to show Taylor that Woodypecker lives close to Grammy's backyard.

A few minutes later I heard a familiar bird call.  When I looked out my window who should be perched on the next tree???
Look...It's Woody Pecker Taylor!!!  I think he knew I was looking for him!
This shot is just for you sweetheart!
