After spending the night in Port Angeles it was back on the road for home.
This is the Hood Canal Bridge we're crossing over.
As you can see it's huge!
These are the houses along the canal that you can see with my zoom lens...
No zoom...where'd they go???
This is the beautiful and quaint town of Port Gamble, WA.
It was founded in 1853 by Maine businessmen Andrew Pope and William Talbot.
All the buildings are New England style, which I love, and trees as well as the American flags line the streets here. I would love to live in a town like this...preferably on the East coast, but they did have some houses for lease...and believe it or not, they don't come with a hefty price tag!
Several years ago Mark brought me to Port Gamble and we stopped at this wonderful little tea house.
We had scones and herbal tea and it was amazing. We were going to go there again...until we saw how much they had raised their prices! I settled for a picture instead! LOL!
The placard outside the now "Tea House".
Port Gamble Post Office
I WANT THIS HOUSE!! This house is so beautiful and it has an amazing view of the water.
A close up of the beautiful stained glass windows. Look at the ginger bread!
The towns Masonic Lodge...this ones for you Virg!
View of the tree lined streets and American flags.
I could really get used to waking to a view like this everyday.
Mmmmm...
Penny for your thoughts sweetheart??
Me and my man. Hey...there's a little less of me these days!!!
I really like how this picture turned out. God Bless America!
Back in Kingston and aboard the Puyallup ferry headed for Edmonds.
As we crossed this was one of two barges carrying those big storage containers...hmmm wonder what's in some of those containers??
Hey look!!! It's me!!! Slowly but surely the weight is coming off; the bonus of having to have 2/3 of your stomach removed, and I'm feeling a little more human everyday!
I krpt this picture to give you an idea of the difference in size between these pleasure boats and the barges.
Second barge.
We were the last car to load on the ferry and the last to exit. This was our view as we began our dock in Edmonds.
