After the open house at Maddie's school there was a community festival going on at a local park, so we decided to stop by. For a July evening in Georgia it was beautiful. Not too hot and the humidity was not too bad...at least to Heather and I. Poor Mark was miserable but like a trooper he went for his granddaughters.
Most things were free or a small "fee" except for those vendors who were selling their wares. We had seen lots of kids with their faces painted so when we came across the ladies who were doing face painting we naturally just had to get the girls done.
Taylor is having a crown painted on her forehead...a little odd we thought but she thought it was cool...at first...

By the time we got home Mark was happy to be back in the air conditioning and the girls couldn't wait to get the paint off their faces. Can't say I blame them but it won't be that many years before they'll be wanting to use makeup!! lol
