This is Front Street in Issaquah, WA where Mark and I live. It is a wonderful little town and everyone has gathered to show their support for the annual Issaquah Children and Pet Owner's 4th of July parade. It was fun to see all the kids and puppie's, but I sure think that it could have been a lot better with some hometown bands. These are what I felt were the best pictures out of the 77 I took. I hope you enjoy them.
The parade begins with Issaquah's finnest, our Eastside Fire and Rescue Crews! They do a wonderful job!
This is Sammy! I guess he's suppose to be a "King" Salmon...looks more like something in a fish bowl to me but nobody aksed! lol Issaquah has a wonderful fish hatchery and every year in October, when the Salmon are running, we have a big festival. I'm looking forward to being right downtown and in the thick of things this year.
This group of young ladies was the only performing group in the entire parade. If you enlarge the picture you will see they are tap dancers and they carried what appeared to be large cookie sheets that they would place on the ground along the parade route and do their little routine. They were quite good!
Now these two sisters know how to travel in style! I could just see our Maddie and Taylor doing this in a few years!!
This cute little blondie made me think of our dear friends Roger and Andrea Bird's little girl Alexis...of course she is no where near as cute!! Loved the stars on her leg!

Since I work with young adults and seniors with disabilities, it was nice to see a couple of people out in the parade who were in wheel chairs and scooters. Way to go gang!
The parade also included dogs and their owners. I loved the Mastiff and the Chiwawa was pretty cute too!
These little guys were soo cute that I just had to get a shot of them.
I wonder if her dog was enjoying being all dressed up as much as I think she was??
I loved this puppy! Dont' know what kind it is but it was sure cute! His owner looked like he was enjoying himself as well.
This cute little girl made me think of our little granddaughter Katelynn. Not because she looked like her, but because she was around the same age and I could imagine Katelynn in the parade. I loved her outfit!
This little SpeedRacer brought the parade to a close. Won't be too many years and he'll be trading his Hot Wheels in for a bigger and badder set of "Hot Wheels"!We hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day. The only thing that would have made the day better for us would have been having all the kids and grand kids to share it with!
