Date to Snoqualmie Falls

Today Mark and I took a trip to Snoqualmie Falls; 30 minutes east from where we live in Bellevue. The falls are 100 feet higher than the world renowned Niagra Falls and quite spectacular. We had wonderful weather for late winter in the Pacific NW, about 55 and sunny but there at the falls there was a very cold wind that blew; at least I thought it was cold.

We tried to hike down to the falls but the trail became steep and muddy so we decided to wait until later in the year to make the 1/2 mile trek to the bottom. After visiting the falls Mark and I took a ride into the little town of Snoqualmie and stopped at a 50's style soda shop for a coke.

We ended our date with dinner at the new Snoqualmie Casino where they have an incredible buffet. The casino is run by the Snoqualmie Indian tribe and the food is out of this world!! We felt like we were back in Las Vegas! Later Mark informed me that most of the tribes that own casinos have a Las Vegas consultant and that the layout at the Snoqualmie's was a lot like the Rio's. We can't wait to go again! YUM-O!!
