Early Morning Flight July 26, 2012

This morning started extremely early, well actually it was more of a continuation of the previous night because Mark and I were too excited to sleep.  Today we left for Savannah, GA. to see our youngest daughter Heather, her husband Mark, and their 3 beautiful little girls;  Maddie, Taylor, and Savannah!
The shuttle service picked us up bright and early, 4:30 AM,  and we were off to SeaTac airport in a Lincoln Towncar!  Let me tell you it is the way to go and our driver was wonderful. When we arrived we had to get a wheelchair for Mark and it was a good thing because even though we thought we had given ourselves plenty of time to get to the airport, check our baggage; including having to pay for a 3rd bag, and get through TSA, if he hadn't needed a wheelchair we probably would have missed our flight,,,the airport was packed!!!  To top it off the airline had not booked our seats together and then when going through security...
You guessed it...I set the alarm off and had to go through a pat down!!!
That was interesting...but the female TSA agent was very polite and very professional. I just wanted to get us out of there and on our flight!
When they discovered it was the buckle on the top I was wearing we all had a good laugh.  At least I know NOT to wear that top again when we fly to see Kimmy this November!!
The other thing that happened to us was that the airline had not booked our seats together but the man that was sitting in the row that Mark was slated for was kind enough to change seats with me.  He was so very accommodating,  So we got settled, buckled and away we left for our first destination.  Atlanta Airport!!
Welcome to Georgia!!!  We were getting so close I could feel the hugs!
When we came off the airplane an airport employee was waiting for us with another wheelchair for Mark.  When we got to our gate we were both so hungry since we hadn't had anything to eat since early the night before.  I thought...maybe there's a Bojangles in the airport.  Unfortunately no Bojangles but a hot dog stand and a chicken place...the worse meals we've eaten.  The only thing that was good was my sweet tea and Mark's diet Coke!  Oh well...we looked forward to supper with Heather and the girls!!
We arrived in Savannah around 4:30PM.  It was a long flight but well worth it when Heather pulled up with the girls!!  I'm not sure who was more excited them or us!!
They've gotten so big,..glad to be here and looking forward to a lot of fun!
